As per the instructions of the Chief Electoral Officer, a special brief revision program is being conducted under the guidance of Collector and District Election Officer, Surguja. A colorful program of flash mob was organized by the college to make voters aware. Passengers, urban and young voters were made aware through song, music and dance through flash mob. SVEEP’s Nodal Officer Mr. Girish Gupta told the participants that this time instead of January 1, advance applications will be taken for inclusion of names in the voter’s list by the Election Commission of India in four qualifying dates. In which advance applications will be taken for January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1, 2023. Youths who have completed 18 years of age on these four eligibility dates can submit applications from November 9 to December 8, 2022, to get their names added. As soon as he completes 18 years of age, his application will be processed in the respective quarter and his name will be added to the respective voter list. The nodal officer also said that for the purpose of voter awareness among the youth, speech and quiz competitions have been organized in all the colleges of the district. It is known that this program was organized in 14 colleges of the district. District level inter-collegiate competition will be held on November 18 at Rajiv Gandhi Government Post Graduate College, Ambikapur for the participants who get first position in speech and quiz.
