MP Shri Rahul Gandhi had lunch with the beneficiaries of various welfare schemes of Chhattisgarh government today. Among those who dined were Mr. Ban Singh of Khaxe Ghat in Mainpur. He had shook hands with the then Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi during his stay at Khaxal Ghat in 1985 and now dined by sitting next to Shri Rahul Gandhi. When Ban Singh told Mr. Rahul Gandhi about this, he expressed happiness. Shri Ban Singh informed that the collectors of tendupatta are getting good amount of collection through Shaheed Shri Mahendra Karma tendupatta collector scheme, due to which the collector is very happy. Mr. Rahul Gandhi also discussed with Mr. Bhagwat Sahu, the beneficiary of Rajiv Gandhi Nyaya Yojana, he was also sitting next to him. Beneficiaries of Rajiv Gandhi Nyay Yojana, Kisan Nyay Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Rural Landless Farmer Mazdoor Yojana, Godhan Nyay Yojana were included in the campaign. On this occasion, Shri Rahul Gandhi tasted the traditional Chhattisgarhi food. MP Shri Rahul Gandhi liked it very much. The taste of Munga Bhatha Rakhiya Badi ki Sabzi made from coriander leaves delighted them. He also tasted the taste of Bijori, traditionally kept in Chhattisgarhi thali to enhance the taste. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel told them about the traditional Chhattisgarhi food. Tomato chutney was also served on Mr. Rahul Gandhi’s plate. Tomato chutney made on silbatta is very popular in Chhattisgarh during winters. It was also served on a plate. Dishes in rice bowls are also popular with rice and hence the cheela was also placed on the plate. In Chhattisgarh, there is a practice of making Chausela on the occasion of festivals. In this way, the plate of MP Shri Rahul Gandhi was full of delicious Chhattisgarhi delicacies and he ate it with interest. Sweet dish was also served with the meal. Along with Gulab Jamun and Moong Halwa, the traditional Murrah Laddu of Chhattisgarh was also served. There was confusion and along with MP Mr. Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, Speaker of the Assembly Mr. Charandas Mahant, MLA Mr. Mohan Markam along with Mr. Sachin Rao also sat. Gandhian thinkers also had lunch with Mr. Rahul Gandhi. After the meal, MP Shri Rahul Gandhi also discussed with the beneficiaries. Mrs. Shakun Verma, who came from Dharsiwa, a beneficiary of Godhan Nyay Yojana, also had a meal with Mr. Gandhi. He told that as a result of the scheme, by selling cow dung, he earned an amount of 60 thousand rupees and with this savings he fulfilled his dreams. Apart from farming, now the savings have increased considerably from the income earned from selling cow dung. Shri Toran Yadav of Navagaon, the beneficiary of Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhumiless Kisan Mazdoor Yojana, said that for the first time such a government has come which has made any scheme for the landless. We are all very happy. Shri Bhagwat Sahu, who benefited from Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, also had a meal with MP Shri Rahul Gandhi. He said that an amount of 87 thousand 500 was received through Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana.
