Kanger Ghati National Park, Jagdalpur is a unique treasure trove of biodiversity of central India. Kanger Valley is famous for its natural beauty, biodiversity, exciting caves in the country and abroad. Birds found in the Western Ghats and Eastern Himalayas of India have also been seen here. Efforts have been made by experts from time to time to understand the relationship of birds found in different landscapes of the country with the Kanger Valley and their habitat. In this series, a bird survey is being organized by Kanger Ghati National Park in collaboration with Bird Count India and Birds and Wildlife of Chhattisgarh. For the first time, the Kanger Valley Bird Survey is being conducted from November 25 to November 27, 2022. Kanger Valley National Park Director Shri Dhammasil Ganvir informed that 56 bird experts from 11 states of the country have been selected in this bird survey. Participants from Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, West Bengal, Odisha, Rajasthan will take part in this bird survey. For 3 days, they will inspect the different bird habitats of Kanger Valley and survey the birds found here.
