The School Education Department of Chhattisgarh has been awarded the CSI-SIG (Computer Society of India Special Interest Group) e-Governance Award 2021. This award has been given to the state of Chhattisgarh in the recognition category for tele-practices implemented to ease the assessment and practice work of school children. The 19th CSI-SIG e-Governance Award, held today at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Prayagraj, was presented by Dr. M. Sudhish of Education Department on behalf of Chhattisgarh and Mr. Som Shekhar, Senior Technical Director on behalf of NIC and Mrs. Lalita Verma, Senior Scientist. received. It is worth mentioning that to make assessment and practice easier in the Education Department, tele-practices program is being conducted under the guidance of Principal Secretary School Education Dr. Alok Shukla and Secretary Dr. Kamalpreet Singh. A program called Tele-practices is being implemented by the Department of School Education in collaboration with the National Informatics Center (NIC) to simplify the assessment and practice work of children and to remove the commonly occurring discrepancies in the assessment procedures. In this, teachers and students have to work in a group in Telegram. Questions come and go in front of children, which children have to answer without wasting time. Each child e-answer automatically creates a separate video. After watching these videos teachers can assess the children. Similarly children can improve their performance by watching the video containing their answers, correcting their errors the next time and choosing the correct answer. Tele-practices program is being fully utilized by the School Education Department in Chhattisgarh in collaboration with NIC Chhattisgarh. The questions used in this are also prepared by the teachers here. Various organizations have observed tele-practices prevalent in the state and found them useful for easing the work of children’s practice and teachers’ assessment.
