Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has congratulated the people of the state on the famous folk festival of Chhattisgarh, Chherchera. On this occasion, he has wished everyone happiness, prosperity and happiness. In his congratulatory message issued on the eve of Chherchera festival, Mr. Baghel has said that Chherchera Punni Tihar is celebrated on the full moon of Paush month in the joy of coming home of the new crop. Maa Shakambhari Jayanti is also celebrated on this day. According to mythological belief, Lord Shankar had asked for alms from Mother Annapurna on this day, so people donate greens, vegetables, fruits along with paddy. He said that many dimensions of generosity are visible in the farmers of Chhattisgarh. There has been a tradition of giving the crop produced here to the needy people of the society, workers and animals and birds. The second aspect of Chherchera is spiritual as well, it eliminates the discrimination of big and small and the feeling of arrogance.
