Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today inaugurated the school admission festival in the schools of the state in a virtual program organized from his residence office. Pressing the button in the program, the Chief Minister restarted 260 schools that were closed for a decade and a half in four Naxal-affected districts – Sukma, Dantewada, Bijapur and Narayanpur. 11 thousand 13 children have taken admission in these schools. Maximum 158 in Bijapur district, 97 in Sukma district, 4 in Narayanpur district and one closed school in Dantewada district are being reopened. Along with the school entrance festival, 6 thousand 536 kindergartens were also started in the primary school premises of the state. Chief Minister Shri Baghel inaugurated the program by garlanding the pictures of Chhattisgarh Mahtari and Swami Atmanand. On this occasion, he made the newly admitted children sweet by applying tilak, feeding them sweets. School bags, books and uniforms were distributed to the children. He asked the children to study diligently and take part in sports along with studies. Posters to be put up in schools based on the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi were also released in the program. On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel interacted directly with the parents and children of the schools being re-opened online. He told the officials that it takes time to construct the buildings of the schools which are starting again in the Naxal affected areas, so they should be built there from the pre-fabricated structure. The Chief Minister while congratulating everyone on the new academic session in the Shala Pravesh Utsav program said that The studies of the children were affected during the two years due to Corona infection, but we ensured that in no case there should be any hindrance in the studies of the children, and their year is not spoiled. He said that we are starting the new academic session with a lot of hope that regular schools should be run this year. Also, to compensate for the loss of studies in the previous session. The Chief Minister said that from this session it has been decided to open kindergarten in some selected schools. He said that I believe that if our teachers give proper attention to the children of this age group, then the children will be able to assimilate the subject soon. The Chief Minister said that schools in the Naxal-affected areas had been closed due to various reasons during the last one and a half decade. The local citizens there were continuously demanding to start these schools again. Now the closed 260 schools are going to run regularly. This will strengthen the foundation of education for thousands of children. The Chief Minister said that during the Corona lockdown, we had made available the Study Tuhar Duar platform, which was well used by the teachers, parents and students. He expressed hope that the process of innovation and adoption of new technology will continue. Efforts are welcome to make education interesting. The Chief Minister said that Swami Atmanand Excellent English and Hindi medium schools are being run to enhance the quality and infrastructure of education in the state. Under this, 171 English medium and 32 Hindi medium schools are being run in the state. Arrangements are being made to give the benefit of this scheme at those places from where the demand is coming. He said that it is our endeavor that the level of excellence of government schools should not be less than that of any private school, the future of children studying in government schools should also be bright. The Chief Minister said that all the teachers and teachers should engage in the work of education with new energy and determination, with full dedication, making the beginning of the new education session and school entrance festival meaningful. Together, everyone should play an important role in making Chhattisgarh educated. School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam congratulated all the children, teachers and parents for the new education session. He said that we are in mission mode since the beginning of the new academic session. We are determined to provide good education to the children as well as to improve the basic facilities. In the beginning of the academic session also, we have fixed the target that all the children should be able to read, write and speak along with linguistic knowledge, numeracy knowledge. From time to time, they will also assess their knowledge at their level. The Minister in-charge of Bijapur, Mr. Kawasi Lakhma, said that due to the opening of closed schools for 15 years, there is enthusiasm among the children and happiness on the faces of the parents. Thanking the Chief Minister for re-opening the closed schools, he said that all the public representatives would work to take this work of education even further. In the program, Minister in-charge of Durg district, Mr. Mohammad Akbar said that there is a lot of awareness among the parents about the new academic session. He said that the loss caused to the education of children due to Corona will be completed in this session.
