Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has paid homage to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary on 02nd October. He has said that following the path shown by Gandhiji, Chhattisgarh is moving in the direction of village Swaraj. To fulfill this goal, the state government has started Suraji Gaon Yojana and Narva, Garuwa, Ghurva, Bari are being developed in a new form. The Gauthans made under the Suraji Gaon Yojana are being developed as livelihood centres. Suraji Gaon Yojana is an important step towards strengthening the economy of the village. Taking this work further, Godhan Nyay Yojana has been started in Chhattisgarh. Due to this, cow dung and cow urine are being purchased from the cattle owners and villagers, which has given a new basis to the rural economy. Shri Baghel said that the compassion of Mahatma Gandhi is the basic mantra of the Chhattisgarh government. Three years ago in 2019, on the day of Gandhi Jayanti, we had declared a decisive war against malnutrition, it has yielded remarkable results. We have been successful in bringing about 50 percent of the malnourished children out of malnutrition. This is a great achievement. Gandhiji did many experiments for the good health of all, so we have given priority to universal healthcare. In Chhattisgarh, we are trying to reach the last person through Mukhyamantri Haat Bazar Clinic Yojna, Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Scheme. Recalling Mahatma Gandhi’s stay in Chhattisgarh, Mr. Baghel said that Gandhiji’s visit to Chhattisgarh for the untouchability journey in Chhattisgarh and the meeting held by Gandhi at Satnami Ashram in Ganjadbri, Jaitusav Math in Raipur, Mahatma Gandhi at Leprosy Ashram in Baitalpur, Bilaspur. The memories of Gandhi are still alive today. The news of his arrival in Chhattisgarh during the freedom struggle had given victory to the farmers. Gandhiji’s arrival in Chhattisgarh filled all the citizens including women, students, sanitation workers with new enthusiasm and energy of patriotism and awakened the light of truth-non-violence, harmony and communal harmony in the state. Shri Baghel said that following the footsteps of Gandhiji, we will build a ‘New Chhattisgarh’ and make his dream of village self-government come true. Recalling the distinguished contribution of Mr. Hasan in the field of Urdu language, Chief Minister Baghel said that Mr. Haji Hasan Ali ‘Hasan’ did many things to popularize the Urdu language. Shri Haji Hassan has written many books to learn to read and write Urdu from Hindi, this has made it easier for those interested in learning and understanding both the languages.
