As per the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, in order to prevent the increasing cases of Kovid-19 in Chhattisgarh and to deal with the horrors of the third wave due to Omicron virus, today the Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain through video conferencing all the Divisional Commissioners, all the Collectors and Took a meeting of all Chief Medical and Health Officers. He directed in the meeting that all necessary preparations should be started on a war footing from now on to deal with the third wave of Kovid-19 in the state. Along with this, the functioning of all the medical equipment-resources provided to the districts should be checked within the next two days. The rules of social distancing should be strictly followed, including the use of masks and sanitizers related to COVID behavior. Chief Secretary Shri Jain directed that public places like hotels, cinema halls, theaters etc. will operate with 33 percent seating capacity. The permission of the District Magistrate will be necessary before organizing social events. Shri Jain has asked the collectors that keeping in mind the difficulties faced during the second wave of infection, all necessary measures should be started from now on to deal with the third wave. He informed that the spread of Omicron virus is more rapid. Due to which the number of infected also increases rapidly. To prevent this, it is necessary to increase the number of tests. If corona infection is found positive, all the primary contacts of the concerned person as well as his/her primary contact should be compulsorily quarantined at their home. Along with this, the process of investigation of all the people should also be done. If a single person in a village or ward comes in the grip of infection, then that entire village or ward has to be marked as a containment zone. Instructions have been given to compulsorily do genome sequencing of five percent of the people affected by corona infection in the districts. The infection of cold-cough patients should be checked. From other places like Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, where the infection is increasing rapidly, information about people coming to Chhattisgarh for business reasons will be kept and their investigation will also be done compulsorily. Every street should be patrolled by the police patrolling party and the use of masks should be ensured. Chief Secretary Shri Jain has given instructions to set up a control room at the district level. Shri Jain has directed to regularly disseminate information about the infection of Kovid, containment zones, home isolation, testing, testing and other information through the media to control the rumours. He has given instructions to show the sufficient number of beds in the prescribed software regularly in all the government and private hospitals operating in the districts. School children in the age group of 15 to 18 years will be vaccinated by organizing camps in all high schools and higher secondary schools from January 3. Children will be vaccinated with co-vaccine. The Chief Secretary has given instructions to complete all the preparations in this regard. Medical personnel, front line workers have been instructed to apply booster dose compulsorily. Raigad district collector Bhim Singh informed that all programs and parties to be organized in the district in the new year have been banned.
