Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has said that doctors and health staff risked their lives to save lives during the global pandemic COVID-19. Due to their service, success was achieved in the battle of Corona. The contribution of doctors and medical institutions is less to be praised. The Chief Minister expressed views to this effect while conferring Dainik Bhaskar Health Pride Award to doctors and private medical institutions for their remarkable services in the field of medicine during the COVID-19 crisis at his residence office premises here today. The Chief Minister presented citations to doctors and representatives of institutions. It is worth noting that 32 doctors and medical institutions have been honored with Health Pride Award by Dainik Bhaskar Patra Group. Padmashree Dr. A.T. Dabke and Dr. P.S. Deshpande was honored with the Life Time Achievement Award. Mayor of Municipal Corporation Raipur, Mr. Ejaz Dhebar presided over the program. President of Chhattisgarh Home Construction Board Mr. Kuldeep Juneja, State Business Head of Dainik Bhaskar Mr. Devesh Singh, State Editor Mr. Shiv Dubey, social worker Mr. Shantilal Bardia were also present on the occasion. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel while addressing the program said that Corona At the time of the transition, the situation was worse than the war. In war, we know the enemy, but to control the corona epidemic, we had to fight an unknown enemy. Physicians and scientists have accepted this challenge and have been successful in controlling the corona by risking their own lives. Today, we are feeling proud by honoring the doctors and institutions. Shri Baghel said that for the treatment of patients during corona infection, the state government provided oxygen, medicines, beds and all other things required for treatment immediately. The industries producing industrial oxygen were given license to produce medical oxygen, due to which there was no shortage of oxygen in Chhattisgarh and oxygen was also supplied from Chhattisgarh to other states. For the first time in the country, guidelines related to protocol and lockdown for corona control were issued by the Chhattisgarh government. After this, the central government has followed it and implemented it all over the country. The Chief Minister said that now there is a need to work for the treatment of sickle cell. Hummer labs are being set up in all district hospitals, where 120 tests will be done free of cost. If the children suffering from sickle cell are identified at an early age, they can be treated, their lives can also be saved. The Chief Minister informed about the efforts being made by the state government to improve the health facilities and said that the district Arrangements are being made for proper treatment by providing better facilities in hospitals, community health centres, primary health centres, sub health centres. Health facilities are reaching the people through Urban Slum Health Scheme, Mukhyamantri Haat Bazar Clinic Yojana. We have got four medical colleges in a short span of time.
