Under the Public Distribution System and Universal PDS, the work of distribution of food grains through e-POS machine is being done in fair price shops through Aadhaar authentication to the ration card holders. E-POS machines have been installed in 13401 fair price shops in 33 districts of the state. Out of these 13401 fair price shops, distribution of ration material is being done online in 12,554 fair price shops through Aadhaar authentication and in the remaining 847 fair price shops through e-POS machines. In the current month of October, the work of distribution of ration to more than 75 percent poor families has been completed. Food Department officials said here today that in the month of October 2022, out of 71.74 lakh ration card holders, 49.48 lakh ration card holders (69 percent) have so far lifted food grains from fair price shops under the Public Distribution System. Food grains have been lifted in the month of October by 75 percent Antyodaya ration card holders, 77 percent priority ration card holders and 34 percent APL ration card holders. The work of distribution of food grains to the ration card holders is going on regularly. Officials said that the ration card holder can lift food grains through portability through Aadhaar authentication from any fair price shop of his choice in the state. So far in the month of October, in Balod, Balodabazar, Balrampur, Bastar, Bemetara, Gariaband, Gaurela Pendra Marwahi, Janjgir-Champa, Jashpur, Kabirdham, Kondagaon, Korea, Mungeli, Rajnandgaon and Surajpur, more than 70 percent fair price shops have been opened by ration card holders. Food grains have been lifted from On an average, 5 lakh ration card holders are lifting food grains every day. Officials said that at present the speed of the server is normal and the work of distribution of ration to the beneficiaries is going on smoothly. Before the Diwali festival, the work of distribution of food grains to most of the ration card holders will be completed.
