School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam while reviewing the departmental work in Mantralaya today asked the District Education Officers to organize special classes to enhance the writing, reading and learning abilities of the children. Special attention should be given to the development of language and mathematical skills. Responsibility of teachers in schools should be fixed. In the coming one month, emphasis should be laid on the education of children. On the basis of this, when the survey is done, the education officer of the district who has performed excellently in it, will be rewarded. Minister Dr. Tekam said that teachers should be trained by selecting schools for running Bal-bari. He said that for the safety of school children, it is necessary that no building should be dilapidated in the state. The repair and maintenance of schools should be completed before the rains. The work of the schools for which funds have been released should be completed at the earliest. In the schemes run by the department, a road map should be prepared now so that the beneficiary children get the benefits of text book, uniform, cycle, scholarship, mid-day meal, Mahtari Dular scheme, vocational education etc. Minister Dr. Tekam said that The process of recruitment and deputation of teachers in Swami Atmanand English medium schools should be completed soon. Similarly, complete the recruitment process of teachers. The registered number of children and the actual number of teachers are required for the implementation of various schemes run by the department. For this, make sure to make the correct entry in the department’s portal. If there is any error in the earlier entry, then it should be rectified. Principal Secretary School Education Dr. Alok Shukla said that keeping in mind the safety of children in schools, action should be taken to dismantle such dilapidated buildings in the state. For this, a certificate should be taken from the urban body in the urban area and PWD in the panchayat area. The information about the buildings to be dismantled should be entered in the portal of the department. He said that Balbari is to be started in 6536 primary schools of the state for children in the age group of five to six years. In all the primary schools of the state, the information about the children’s seating rooms, the distance of the site from the school premises should also be recorded in the portal. The Principal Secretary said that this time the education session has been extended till May 15 due to the heat. He said that there is no examination from class I to VIII, only assessment of children is done. This test is for the teachers, not the children. Based on the assessment, it will be decided that what kind of remedial teaching is needed for the children. Principal Secretary Dr. Alok Shukla said that science cannot be studied without laboratory. Apart from this, the teaching of Mathematics and Arts subjects should also be practical. Laboratory will start in schools from July 1. In this regard, he directed the District Education Officers to make proposals to start experiments in all these subjects in each high school and higher secondary schools. He said that during the summers, the Board of Secondary Education would give training to the master trainers of the schools for conducting the laboratory. Dr. Shukla said that small practical activities should be conducted in middle schools also. Vocational education course started in the state ITI will be started in every block from this year. As per the directions of the Chief Secretary, one school in every Panchayat and one toilet in each ward of the urban area should be made. Separate toilets should be constructed for boys and girls.
