State Energy Minister Shri A.K. On the instructions of Sharma, a public hearing was held today by all the Managing Directors of each DISCOM for the improvement of the power system and for redressal of various complaints and problems of the consumers. A total of 40 complaints were received today at the level of managing directors of all the DISCOMs, out of which 18 complaints have been resolved on the spot. In respect of the remaining 22 complaints, reports have been sought from the concerned officers. These will also be disposed of immediately upon receipt of the report. In today’s public hearing, 08 complaints were received in Dakshinachal, 12 in Paschimanchal, 08 in Madhyaanchal, 08 in Purvanchal and 04 in Kesco. Complaints about billing, electricity supply, faulty meter, low voltage and excess bills and non-receipt of connection were heard in the public hearing. Out of this, Smt. Pushpa Sahu of Phulbagh for new connection, Vivek Sahu of Kidwai Nagar for faulty meter, Shri Umang Agarwal of Naubasta Division for non-receipt of bills and Smt. Namita Sood of Ratanpur Division had complained about electricity supply to the respective DISCOMs. , which have been resolved. Energy Minister Shri A.K. Sharma said that public hearings would continue on every Monday and Tuesday under the ‘Sambhav’ portal for the smooth system of electricity and timely, quality and satisfactory resolution of the problems of the consumers in the state. Mr. A.K. Sharma said that on Monday, under Sambhav portal, public hearings were held from 10:00 am to 12:00 am by the executive engineer at the district level and from 03 pm to 05 pm by the superintending engineer at the circle level. In which out of total 1318 complaints received at the state level, 1074 complaints were resolved on the spot. In this, 162 complaints of Paschimanchal Discoms, 196 of Dakshinachal, 306 of Madhyaanchal and 410 of Purvanchal were resolved. He said that any kind of laxity and negligence in this work would not be tolerated. He has laid emphasis on speedy, just and effective disposal of complaints by being loyal towards the work and keeping service towards the consumers. The Energy Minister said that a month would be taken to resolve the complaints which could not be resolved at the district, circle and discom level. The hearing will be held by the Energy Minister himself and the higher officials of the department from 12 noon on the third Wednesday of the year.
