Before the possible third wave of Kovid-19, Chhattisgarh has geared up to strengthen and equip government hospitals from villages to cities. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that no stone will be left unturned in strengthening the health infrastructure and making all facilities accessible to the remote areas of Chhattisgarh.

In view of the experiences experienced during the second wave of Corona, the Chhattisgarh government has started the work of strengthening the arrangements in government hospitals from villages to district headquarters. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has asked district collectors to prepare and submit an action plan in 15 days to make all district hospitals and development block level hospitals fully equipped. Baghel has said that the work of strengthening the health infrastructure has to be done on top priority, so that even if a third wave situation arises, it can be dealt with with full force.
‘Health management needs to be strengthened’
The Chief Minister has said that in the last 6 months, with a view to strengthen the arrangements for treatment of corona, the number of oxygen related equipment, ICU beds, ventilators has increased in these hospitals. Better maintenance and frequent use of these health equipment is also essential to prepare for a possible third wave of corona. The number of doctors in community health centers has also increased significantly in the last few days, but health management needs to be strengthened further.
