According to the intention of the state government, based on the efforts of Regional MLA Mr. Parasnath Rajwada and the recommendation of Collector Ms. Iffat Ara, Chhattisgarh government has opened a new paddy procurement center in Karoti B under Chandramedha Society of Odgi block, to provide better facilities to the farmers. Due to which there is joy in the farmers of that area. A total of 795 farmers are registered under the Karauti Society, out of which 83 farmers have registered for the first time, out of which five are forest lessee farmers. New paddy procurement centers are being opened in remote areas so that the farmers of remote Vananchal can also get the benefit of the government’s paddy procurement scheme, while the smiles of the farmers speak volumes about the success of this scheme. Mr. Somaru, a resident of Tomo village, who came to sell paddy at Karoti paddy purchase center, told that earlier he used to sell paddy in Chandramedha, he had to go 20 kilometers from his village, now it has become 8 kilometers from the opening of paddy purchase center in Karoti B. The car fare is also less, due to which we are feeling very happy. Similarly, farmers of village Dawansara Mr. Vishwanath, village Totko Mr. Satyanarayan, residents of village Dawna Mr. Kailash and Ramlakhan also told that earlier they had to go to the paddy procurement center Chandramedha, but now the opening of paddy procurement center in Karoti B will save distance, time and money.
