Minister in charge of Higher Education and Jashpur district, Shri Umesh Patel, during his stay at Jashpur today took a review meeting of the district level officers in the Collectorate meeting room. In the meeting, Minister Shri Patel discussed the preparation of paddy-procurement, Kovid-19 vaccination, corona test, availability of gunny bags in the district, works of MNREGA, Public Service Guarantee Act, progress of Jal Jeevan Mission, ambitious plan of Chhattisgarh government Narva, Garuva, In-depth review of the status of electricity system in Ghurwa, Bari, district etc. He instructed the officers to complete the works with priority in the time limit. Jashpur MLA Shri Vinay Bhagat was also present on the occasion. Apart from taking information about the availability of gunny bags, Minister Shri Patel instructed the officers to purchase paddy from all the registered farmers of the district through the Paddy Purchase Center. He told the officers that special care should be taken that farmers should not face any problem for selling paddy. Jashparu Collector Ritesh Agarwal informed the Minister Patel that paddy is being purchased from 32 thousand 188 farmers through 35 paddy procurement centers in the district. Adequate quantity of gunny bags are available for the farmers in all the paddy procurement centers of the district and 05 new procurement centers have also been set up. There will be no problem of any kind in the district for supplying gunny bags to the farmers. Minister Shri Umesh Patel gave instructions to the officers to provide employment to the people in the village by sanctioning more and more works under MNREGA and to complete the target of vaccination in the district. The Collector informed that the target of first dose of vaccination has been achieved 100% in Kunkuri block. In all the development blocks, the works of first and second dose are also being done on priority basis. Along with this, the facility of 02 oxygen plants at District Hospital Jashpur and Oxygen Plant at Farsabhar is also being made available. Minister Shri Patel instructed the officers to follow the Public Service Guarantee Act seriously in the district and to do the work of ration card, pension, conversion, distribution, demarcation etc. on priority. He also instructed to make ration cards of all eligible people soon. While reviewing the Jal Jeevan Mission, Minister Shri Patel directed to provide drinking water facility through tap taps in remote areas of Para, Tola, villages, towns, ashram-hostels, health centers, schools. Along with this, he asked to run a public awareness campaign for elephant protection in elephant affected areas. Minister Shri Patel has asked the officials of the Electricity Department to constitute a team for repairing power transformers. He took information from the Agriculture Officer about the work being done by the vermicompost manure and self-help groups in Gauthans and instructed to make women financially self-reliant. In the meeting, he also took information about the ashram-hostel, dilapidated school buildings and has directed the concerned officials to prepare and send proposals.
