Under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain, the meeting of the review committee of State Level District Mineral Institute Trust was held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhavan here today. In the meeting, the approved works from the Mineral Trust Fund were reviewed in the state and detailed review was done regarding the implementation of the decisions of the State Level Monitoring Committee constituted under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. It was told in the meeting that 72 thousand 522 works have been approved so far in different districts of the state from the District Mineral Trust Fund. An amount of Rs 10 thousand 608 crore 88 lakh has been approved for these works. Out of the approved works, 44 thousand 472 works have been completed, the remaining works are in progress. In the meeting, instructions were given to all the collectors to approve the works according to Chhattisgarh District Mineral Trust 2015, in relation to the purpose of the trust and the expenditure of the trust fund. Instructions were given to ensure the approval and payment of works in all the districts through this portal only. Collectors have been asked to prepare an action plan according to the objectives of the trust and duly approve and implement it from the Governing Council. In the meeting, the action taken on the identification of directly affected areas and persons as per the District Mineral Trust Act was reviewed. Similarly, the officials were informed about the latest amendments in the constitution of the Governing Council. District-wise review of the progress of approval and amount received from the trust fund of the districts was done. In the meeting, the officials were alerted that necessary guidelines were given by the District Mineral Institute Trusts regarding not carrying out the approved works other than the objectives of the Trust. In the meeting, officials of the Mineral Department informed that the works of Chief Minister’s flagship schemes which have been approved from DMF, include Rs 425 crore 22 lakh for Narwa, Ghurwa, Garwa, Bari, Rs 38 crore 21 lakh for Chief Minister’s Haat Bazar Clinic Scheme. An amount of Rs.359 crore 40 lakh has been approved for Chief Minister Suposhan Yojana, Rs 6 crore 56 lakh for Chief Minister Slum Health Scheme and Rs 4 crore 54 lakh for Chief Minister Ward Office Scheme. Similarly, Rs 358 crore 11 lakh was sanctioned for English Medium School and Rs 260 crore 29 lakh for the development of Gauthans. Secretary, Mineral Department, Mr. Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi, Secretary, Health Department, Mr. Prasanna R., Special Secretary, Finance, Mrs. Sheetal Shashwat Verma and other officials of the Mineral Department attended the meeting organized through video conference.
