Forest Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar, during his stay in Kabirdham, on Monday, at Vishram Bhawan, Kawardha, handed over 153 hectares of community forest rights to Shambhupipar, a tribal and special backward Baiga tribe dominated village of Kabirdham district, for nistar and community use. He presented community forest rights recognition letter to Smt. Devki Sonsingh Markam, Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Shambhupipar. After getting the right of community forest rights, villagers expressed their happiness and expressed their gratitude towards Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Forest Minister Mohammad Akbar.
Forest Minister Shri Akbar said that Chhattisgarh is emerging as a leading state in the country in the implementation of forest rights papers. Efforts are being made under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel to connect each and every family of the state living in Vananchal with the mainstream of development. Chhattisgarh has made its mark in the first place in the country in the collection of minor forest produce. Families collecting forest sap by staying between forest and forests are being brought into the mainstream of development and making them self-reliant and self-reliant. He said that after the formation of the new government in the state, many decisions were taken under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel to make the forest produce collecting families financially strong. Earlier in the state of Chhattisgarh, only seven minor forest produce were being sold by the Minor Forest Produce Association at the minimum support price, which was increased to 38 forest produce and 14 forest produce under the minimum support price fixed by the union, in this way a total of 52 forest produce were purchased by self-help groups. Due to this, the families collecting lakhs of forest produce of the state are getting direct benefits.
