On the initiative of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, new dimensions of development have been created in the state with the slogan of “Gadbo Nava Chhattisgarh”. For the betterment of the economy, along with the development of remote areas in the last three years, a strong base has also been given to the industries. In this episode, after the announcement of the new industrial policy (2019-2024) by the state government, a favorable environment has been created for industry, trade and business in Chhattisgarh. The flagship schemes of the government such as Narva, Garwa, Ghurva and Bari programs under Suraji Gaon Yojana and Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana have strengthened the rural economy along with increasing the income of the common people. Despite the Corona crisis with the amount received from these schemes, the market remained bright. The consumption of industrial products also increased. Employment also increased. The economy, which was slowing down due to Corona, also remained on track. According to the information received from the Transport Department, in the year 2021, during Diwali, 13 thousand 706 vehicles were purchased between November 2 and 6, while in the year 2020, during Diwali from November 12 to 16, 11 thousand 697 vehicles were purchased. There has been an increase of 17.17 percent in the registration of vehicles purchased this year during Diwali as compared to last year. According to the announcement of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, land allotment rules in industrial areas were simplified. According to which the land allotment in industrial areas, 30 percent in land premium, 33 percent in land rent in industrial areas and outside industrial areas up to 10 acres, a notification was issued by preparing rules for freehold from leasehold. As a result of which 1 thousand 715 new industries have been established in Chhattisgarh in three years. In which more than 19 thousand 500 crore rupees were invested and 33 thousand people got employment. In the Industrial Policy 2019-2024, priority has been given to new industries like food, ethanol, electronics, defence, pharmaceutical, solar. Apart from this, MSME In service category enterprises, provision has been made to provide industrial investment incentives like electric vehicle charging stations, service centres, BPO, 3-D printing, seed grading etc., like general category industries. For the establishment of food parks in the development blocks, land has been identified in 110 development blocks. In the industrial policy, special provisions have been made for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, women, agricultural producer groups, people of third gender. The state government has decided to reserve 10 percent plots for OBC category, which will be made available at 10 percent rate of land premium rate and 1 percent land rent. Due to the strong will of the Government of Chhattisgarh, better implementation of the schemes, Chhattisgarh is maintaining its position among the first 6 states of the country in the parameters of Ease of Doing Business. For ease of doing business and industry, 56 services are being provided online by the Industries Department under a single window system. Under e-district, 82 services have been made online, from shop registration to license of business. In order to provide relief to small traders, the requirement of renewal every year has been abolished under the Gumashta Act. By removing the ban on the purchase and sale of small plots, deals of 2 lakh 87 thousand plots have been done. With this increase in revenue, apart from the buyer-seller, many people developing that land are getting benefits. Exemption in stamp duty has been given on registration in favor of women.
