Collector Ms. Richa Prakash Choudhary today inspected Gauthan, Ashram and Schools in Padavaniya Panchayat of Janpad Panchayat Gaurela. He inquired about the dung procurement, vermi compost manufacturing and livelihood activities being done in Gauthan. He asked the Sarpanch and Secretary to discuss with the farmers and other departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, Forests to get 250 bags of Vermi Compost ready in Gauthan. The collector discussed with the women of the Self Help Groups and inquired about the activities being done by them in the Gauthan area like fish farming, poultry and goat rearing, Napier grass products, vegetable garden etc. and to build a separate shed for poultry farming in the district. Directed to CEO Gorella. He advised them to cultivate mustard, potato, turmeric, ginger, vegetable-vegetable etc. under various government schemes collectively or in their private land to increase the income of the women of the group and for their economic progress. In addition to the renovation work of 50 seater tribal children’s ashram, he inspected the children’s bedroom, kitchen, dining hall, let-bath etc. He directed to get the windows painted, to maintain them properly to protect the food items from moisture and to make kitchen garden in the premises and to plant fruit-bearing plants like jackfruit, munga, banana, mango, guava, jamun etc. He observed the attendance register of the children maintained in the ashram office, registered number, parent visitor register and also recorded his inspection note in the inspection register. Check the level of writing. He instructed the Principal Pathak to destroy the old and unused documents kept in the school office. He gave instructions to the Block Source Coordinator to provide rakes, cupboards for the school library and to keep the books of Samagra Shiksha. He asked the Sarpanch Mrs. Baisakhia Bai, who was present on the spot, to inspect the ashram and schools from time to time and monitor the attendance of the teachers.
