Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that Gothans have an important role to play in giving impetus to the rural economy. Gothans are being developed as livelihood centers. In these centres, youth are being linked with employment oriented works in women self-help groups. He said that the government is working continuously in the direction of realizing the dreams of Gandhiji. Mr. Baghel was addressing the 76th Annual Raj Convention of Palari Raj Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj organized at village Jarve under Palari development block of Balodabazar-Bhatapara district today. Chief Minister Shri Baghel inaugurated the conference by paying homage to the ancestors of the society by remembering the freedom fighters Jhalu Ram Chandravanshi, Salik Ram Chandravanshi, and social worker twenty-four Ram Chandravanshi. He gave approval for social harmony of Rs 30 lakh in the memory of the freedom fighter in village Jarve. In which the idols of freedom fighters of the village Jhalu Ram Chandravanshi, Salik Ram Chandravanshi, social worker twenty-four Ram Chandravanshi will also be installed. The Chief Minister announced a one-day link court in Tehsil Palari under Balodabazar sub-division, a new library in the name of Swami Atmanand at the district headquarters and the Jarve Minor canal line included in the budget. Apart from this, the building for the new higher secondary school, the boundary wall of the primary health center, the commercial complex and the mini stadium were announced. Dishes including the local Teej festival are also being promoted. After the formation of the new government in Chhattisgarh, the quantity of paddy purchased and the number of farmers is increasing continuously. He said that Gauthan is not only for collecting cows and oxen, but we are developing it as an important center of rural livelihood. Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana has been started to strengthen the economic condition of the grain donors of the state. Swami Atmanand Excellent English Medium Schools have been opened in the state to provide education in English medium to the children. Villagers, farmers and livestock farmers have got new sources of employment through Godhan Nyay Yojana. The Chief Minister said that Godhan Nyay Yojana is being appreciated all over the country. The work of reviving the tradition of the village is being done by the government. Everyone’s participation is essential for running the plans.
