Raipur. A big operation has been going on for the last seven days against the Naxalites in the hills of Karegutta, situated on the border of Bijapur and Telangana. In the midst of this campaign, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai reviewed a high -level meeting today. In the meeting, the Chief Minister said that Naxal abolition is not just a campaign, but is a mission to secure the future of Bastar and Chhattisgarh.
Home Minister Vijay Sharma, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Director General of Police Arundev Gautam, CRPF and other security forces were present in this meeting. The Chief Minister reiterated the resolve to make the state Naxal -free under the leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and said that the state government is working strongly.
The Chief Minister instructed to further strengthen mutual coordination and information collection system in anti -Naxal operations. He further said that Chhattisgarh will get a new identity in the whole country as a Naxal -free and development oriented state.
5 Naxalites killed so far
During the encounter, 5 Naxalites have been killed by security forces personnel, out of which the bodies and weapons of 3 have been recovered. Security forces are still trying to completely surround and eliminate the Naxalites. Naxalites are being firing and bombing Naxalites by helicopter.
This operation is considered to be the biggest operation in the country, which has been going on for 6 consecutive days and today action is going on against the Naxalites for 7 days.
