Higher Education Minister Shri Umesh Patel attended the Van Mahotsav program organized at Gharghoda in Raigad district today. Van Mahotsav program was organized in Eklavya Model Residential School, Charratangar. On this occasion, Minister Shri Patel inaugurated the program by garlanding the photographs of Mother Sharde and Vanadevi. The Higher Education Minister said that we have to save water, forest and land, only then our life will be meaningful. Trees provide us with oxygen. We get different types of life saving medicines from trees. Along with this, trees provide us shade and fruits. We must plant a tree in our lifetime. He appealed to all the people present to plant a tree in and around their homes and protect it. High Minister Shri Umesh Patel also planted a mango sapling in the hostel premises. On this occasion, the students of the hostel gave an enchanting performance on tribal dance. On this occasion, District Panchayat President Mr. Nirakar Patel and Collector Mrs. Ranu Sahu also addressed the program and Collector Mrs. Ranu Sahu planted coconut saplings.
