The speed at which the rural economy is running in Chhattisgarh shows that in the last three years, more than 76 thousand farmers have bought tractors. The record tractor sales from the year 2019 to 2021 shows that the economic condition of the farmers in Chhattisgarh is getting stronger. Along with this, there was absolutely no effect of recession in the Corona period. As soon as the Bhupesh Baghel government came to power in Chhattisgarh, farmers’ loans were waived as promised in the manifesto. Even after that, new schemes were brought in continuously keeping the farmers at the center. This is the reason that a lot of money came in the hands of the farmers and the farmers bought tractors fiercely to make farming easier. Wherever Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is going in the meeting program, the demand for opening cooperative banks is being made by the villagers everywhere and the Chief Minister is also continuously announcing the opening of banks. It is clear that money has come to the farmers. 25 thousand 607 in the year 2019, 24 thousand 590 during the corona period of 2020 and 25 thousand 932 tractors were purchased in 2021. In the year 2021, 5 and a half percent more tractors were purchased as compared to 2020. The data of Bastar region which is fighting the terror of Naxalites shows that farmers are taking benefits of the schemes. Generally, farmers in tribal dominated areas produce more minor forest produce. The farmers of Bastar region have also been paying more attention to the cultivation of Mahua, Tendupatta, Kodo, Kutki, Ragi, but in this year 2022, the figures of the last six months show that the farmers in Bastar are also getting attracted towards the cultivation of cereals. In 6 months from January to June, about two thousand (1 thousand 955) tractors have been sold in 7 Naxal affected districts of Bastar. Farmers have bought 180 tractors in Bijapur district, 103 in Dantewada, 642 in Kanker, 469 in Kondagaon, 98 in Narayanpur, 141 in Sukma and 322 in Bastar district. Money in the hands of farmers came from these schemes- Bhupesh government of Chhattisgarh has deposited crores of rupees in the accounts of farmers under various schemes in the last three and a half years. Due to which their financial position has been strengthened. In Chhattisgarh, on the initiative of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the state government is providing assistance to farmers through the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana with the aim of giving fair price to the farmers for their produce, increasing crop productivity and promoting crop diversification. The state government has so far paid 11 thousand 180 crore 97 lakh rupees in the accounts of farmers in 2 years. In the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana, money has been deposited in the accounts of 3.5 lakh beneficiaries. Under the Chhattisgarh Godhan Nyay Yojana, a payment of Rs 226 crore has been made to cattle farmers, self-help groups and Gauthan committees and cow dung worth Rs 133 crore has been purchased. Kondagaon farmer Dinesh Netam has taken tractor in 2019. He had received the tractor through Agricultural Mechanics Service Center. Last year, he had made a profit of Rs 4 lakh from farming.
