Revenue Minister Mr. Agrawal said that due to the closure of local MEMU and passenger trains running between Korba to Bhilai by the Railways, common commuters are facing a lot of difficulties. Time and money of passengers is being wasted. The common citizens of Korba have given memorandums to the Railways several times for the immediate running of the pending passenger trains by the Railway Administration. The Revenue Minister has also written a letter in this regard to the General Manager, Railways. Despite this, the Revenue Minister expressed strong displeasure over not taking the decision by the Railway Administration till now and not resuming the operation of trains. Revenue Minister Shri Jaisingh Agrawal said that billions of rupees are earned annually by the railway administration by transporting coal from Korba zone, but without expanding the facilities, the facilities already available have been closed by the railways. This is gross neglect of the local people. There is great displeasure among the people towards the railway administration. Minister Mr. Agrawal has asked DRM Bilaspur to apprise him about the decision within a week.
