The problem of pollution had come to the fore in the Rasmada industrial area in the past. Taking cognizance in this regard, Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu had discussed with public representatives and industrialists of Rasmada in the presence of administrative officers and directed industrial groups to keep pollution under control and officials to continuously monitor it. Today, the Home Minister reviewed the compliance so far on the instructions given in the meeting. The villagers said that due to continuous monitoring after the meeting, there has been a reduction in pollution. Environment Board officials said that the air quality index has improved in Rasmada. Collector Shri Pushpendra Kumar Meena was also present in the meeting. He informed that monitoring of Rasmada is being done regularly by the administrative team and the pollution situation there is being monitored. In the meeting, the Home Minister asked the officials of the Industries Department about the number of local laborers working in Rasmada. Instructions were given to calculate it in the last meeting. Officials of Industries Department told that there are about 4833 laborers in the industrial area, in which more than one thousand laborers of Rasmada village are employed. The Home Minister directed that it should be ensured that the local people get maximum number of jobs in the appointments. Whenever a vacancy comes here, inform the SDM so that Munadi can be done through Kotwar. Along with this, the Home Minister also asked the industry groups to work for the development of Rasmada. He said that if the industrial area is beautiful, convenient, it will be beneficial for the local people as well as the industry groups, give full cooperation in taking responsibility of their area and provide financial help in the development works here so that better infrastructure can be built here. The Home Minister also inquired about the plantation. Officials of the Industries Department said that the industries have not done plantation as per the target. The Home Minister asked the industry groups to meet the target. Also said that at the administrative level also, a big campaign should be done for plantation of saplings in the vacant lands of Rasmada. In the meeting, he also asked the officers to take action to remove encroachment from Rasmada area. Along with this, it was also said that there should be a good arrangement for parking here. There should be arrangements for canteen etc. at one place for the drivers, laborers etc. coming here. Work for this too. Along with this, he asked for continuous monitoring under the leadership of SDM regarding pollution.
