Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and under the direction of Public Health Engineering Minister Guru Rudrakumar, pure drinking water is being supplied under Jal Jeevan Mission in rural areas of the state. Minister Guru Rudrakumar has directed the officers to complete the works of Jal Jeevan Mission in time-limit and better implementation of the scheme. In this episode, under the guidance of Jashpur Collector Ritesh Kumar Agarwal, tap connections are being provided in every village and every house of the settlements under the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme. The objective of Jal Jeevan Mission is that drinking water facility is being made available through tapannel in remote villages of Para, Tola, Kasba, Anganwadi Bhawan, Ashram Hostel, Primary Health Center, Community Health Center, Schools. So far in Jashpur district, 222 health centers, 184 ashram hostels, 1166 schools, 1482 Anganwadi centers are being supplied pure drinking water from tapanels. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, the district administration is providing pure drinking water facility in remote rural areas through tapannel. With the availability of the means of water supply, people are no longer required to fetch water from distant places. Now drinking water is being available in the homes of the people. Due to which the villagers are very happy. A new water tank has also been constructed by the Public Health Engineering Department in Ginabahar of Kunkuri development block of Jashpur district, and Khatanga, village panchayat of Duldula development block. Due to which the people around are getting easy water supply. A 1.8 MLB water purification plant is also established in the sub-divisional Public Health Engineering office of Kunkuri block, where pure drinking water is being supplied to various wards after purifying the water. Similarly, water purification plants have been set up in Jashpur and Pathalgaon to purify water. Officials of the Public Health Engineering Department said that alum lime is also added to purify the water, so that the dirty water can be cleaned through the purification water plant. He said that under Jal Jeevan Mission in Ginabahar, drinking water is being provided to about 200 houses through tapanels.
