A three-day Kisan Mela organized by the Department of Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare and Biotechnology, Government of Chhattisgarh at the Science College ground of Bilaspur was organized from April 13. Today, on the concluding occasion, there was a crowd of people throughout the day to see the exhibition of farming. To make agriculture prosperous, farmers learned the tricks of new technology in this exhibition. A large number of farmers from across the state shared their experiences of farming innovation, technology, production and marketing at the fair. In the fair, machines of advanced technology have also been provided free of cost to the farmers. Sharing their experiences, the farmers said that organizing such a fair proves beneficial for them. Through the fair, they also get a market for the sale of their products. Farmers benefited – A large number of agricultural college students and farmers reached the fair site to see the live exhibition of the Department of Agriculture and Horticulture in the fair. Under the District Mineral Trust fund in the stall of Agriculture Department, 08 farmers of village Hiri development block Bilha were given sprinkler set of 30 pipes, three HP diesel pumps to 06 farmers, battery operated spares were distributed to 04 farmers free of cost. Farming is now a profitable business. Irrigation facility will be provided in one and a half acres of land with the help of diesel pump. He said that farming has now become a profitable business due to the farmer friendly schemes launched by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Spare will not have to be rented – Mansingh Mr. Mansingh told that he has got a battery operated spare. Earlier, for spraying medicine, spares had to be hired at the rate of Rs 50 per hour. This caused unnecessary financial burden. Shri Ramu Meher of village Hiri has ten acres of agricultural land. He got the sprinkler set in the fair today. He told that the price of this sprinkler set is more than 24 thousand. It is not possible for everyone to make this purchase. Now by getting sprinkler set, farming will be easy. Mini Rice Mill, Fodder Cutter Machine, Mini Oil Mill have been kept for display in the stall of Agriculture Department.
