Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain took a meeting of Commissioners, Inspector Generals of Police, District Collectors and Superintendents of Police and Chief Medical Officers of all the divisions of the state through video conferencing from Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan here today. The meeting mainly reviewed the necessary preparations for prevention of new variants of Kovid-19, smooth arrangements at paddy procurement centers and preparations for organizing state level Manas Mandalis and Youth and Folk Arts Festival to be held in the coming days. And necessary instructions have been given to the officials in this regard. Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, Mr. Subrata Sahu also attended the meeting through video conferencing. Chief Secretary Mr. Jain said in relation to the necessary preparations to protect against new variants of Kovid-19, duly monitoring the travelers coming to Chhattisgarh from abroad. and be monitored. The list of travelers coming from abroad should be sent regularly from the state level to the collector of the district. Effective action should be taken at the district level for tracking of these passengers in the respective districts and treatment if necessary and to prevent the spread of infection. In the absence of infection, 14 days home quarantine and if found to be infected, genome sequencing should be done along with necessary treatment. He said that helpdesks should be set up in three major airports of the state along with infection checks, where every passenger coming from abroad would be screened. In which the certificate of vaccination, the report of infection investigation should be inspected. Along with this, a certificate should be taken from the passengers that through which countries their journey has passed. Along with this, check-up and vaccination camps should be organized regularly in the paddy procurement centers of the state, arrangements should also be made for screening and vaccination of farmers coming to sell paddy in these camps. Shri Jain directed to make publicity for mandatory use of masks at major places, square-squares and crowded places in urban and rural areas. He has also given instructions to keep adequate beds, medicines, oxygen cylinders, ventilators and other necessary arrangements in all health centers and Kovid Care Center to deal with the situation of increasing infection. The Chief Secretary has given instructions to ensure that action is taken as per the guidelines given from time to time to maintain smooth order in the paddy procurement centers. He has asked to take effective steps to regularize the token distribution system. Along with this, instructions were given to keep a strict vigil on the committees-persons-employees who were disputed in the process of paddy procurement and to take legal action. He has said that for regular inspection and testing of paddy procurement centers, zonal officers should be deployed by creating sectors. These zonal officers will visit the paddy procurement centers of their charge regularly and get the arrangements for paddy procurement done smoothly. Shri Jain directed to prevent any untoward situation at the paddy procurement centers with technical capabilities and with the help of local people and to take legal action against the persons involved in such unpleasant activities. He has said that police patrol should be done regularly in paddy procurement centres. Along with this, police force should also be deployed in such disputed centers if necessary. Shri Jain has directed the Inspector General of Police, Durg to investigate the incident that took place at Piparchedi, a paddy procurement center in Balod district. Instructions to start the lifting of paddy from the centers immediately after paddy procurement and to collect the remaining gunny bags with the millers, to disseminate information about the daily progress and necessary actions regarding the purchase of paddy regularly. State level competition will be organized on 20th, 21st and 22nd December at Shivrinarayan of Janjgir-Champa district. In the districts, instructions have been given to organize these competitions at the gram panchayat, block and district level by December 15. A competition will be organized for the winners of Gram Panchayat level at the block level and for the winners of the block level at the district level. The district level team will have to give their presence on 19th December at the venue of Shivrinarayan. Out of the winning Manas Mandals at the state level, five lakh rupees will be given for the first position, three lakh rupees for the second position and two lakh rupees for the third place. Shri Jain has made an action plan regarding the organization of this competition and has directed to announce the district level winner by December 15. Regarding the organization of Youth Festival and Folk Art Festival to be organized in Raipur on 12th, 13th and 14th January 2022 at the state level, the Chief Secretary has said that by organizing 37 different sports disciplines at the district level, the winners are selected at the divisional level. Will be done. Competition will be organized in total 37 sports disciplines in Raipur among the divisional winners. Literature fair and folk art exhibition will also be organized in the state level event to be held in Raipur. The Chief Secretary has given instructions to organize these programs while ensuring that the necessary guidelines are followed to protect against Kovid-19.
