Raipur, 19 February. An FIR has been lodged against three people, including BJP leader Basant Aggarwal over a land dispute in Telibandha area of the capital. It is alleged that he tried to illegally occupy a private property, vandalized the house under construction and threatened the landowner. On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered an FIR against the accused and started investigating the case.
What is the whole matter?
Complainant Ritesh Kumar Mahato claims that he purchased 0.2020 hectares of land in village Fundhar from Jeera Bai Nishad in December 2024. On this land, he was getting the boundary wall constructed, the responsibility of which was entrusted to the contractor Sushil Gupta.
According to Ritesh, about 15 days ago, an unknown person received a call on the mobile of contractor Sushil Gupta and threatened to stop the work. On January 21, a person named Akhilesh Pratap Singh again called and threatened the contractor that if he continued the construction work, he would be closed in the police station. In addition, it was asked to remove goods from the construction site, otherwise a warning of dispute and bloodshed.
The accused vandalized the night of 30 January
The complaint said that on January 30, Ritesh Kumar Mahato received a call from an unknown number, threatening to kill him. On the same day, Akhilesh Pratap Singh also threatened the workers who reached the construction site and stopped the work forcibly.
Some unknown people reached there at night and threatened to implicate the laborers in a false case. Subsequently, the site under construction was vandalized and goods worth about 2.50 to 3 lakh rupees were stolen. Stolen goods included iron columns, cement and other construction materials.
BJP leader Basant Aggarwal serious allegations
Ritesh Mahato alleges that Gudiyari resident and BJP leader Basant Aggarwal was also involved in the incident. He abused the workers on the spot and ordered to stop the work.
Police engaged in investigating the case
The victim lodged a complaint about the incident at Telibandha police station, after which the police have registered a case against Basant Aggarwal, Akhilesh Pratap Singh and an unknown mobile number holder.
Telibandha police station in -charge Narendra Mishra said that a complaint of illegal occupation and demolition in the house under construction has been received. Land-owner Ritesh Kumar Mahato has accused the unknown person including Basant Aggarwal of illegal possession of land, sabotage and threatening personal property. On the basis of the complaint, action is being taken under sections 296, 3 (5), 303 (2), 324 (5), 329 (1), 351 (2). The investigation of the entire matter continues.
