Mrs. Kiran Kaushal, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Marketing Federation Maryadit (Markfed), today inspected Jhalap, Sonasilli and Pithora paddy procurement centers in Mahasamund district. He inquired about the quality of paddy, availability of gunny bags and use of gunny bags in proper proportion in the paddy procurement centers. After purchasing the paddy, Mrs. Kaushal observed the important aspects including the weight of the sack filled with paddy stored in the center. The Managing Director of Markfed, Mrs. Kaushal discussed with the farmers present in the paddy procurement center and also inquired about the arrangement for the sale of paddy. The farmers told that they are quite satisfied with the paddy procurement system. They are not facing any problem in selling paddy. Smt. Kaushal instructed the farmers to make the acknowledgment of registration available from the committee itself. He said that obtaining acknowledgment from the Choice Center would also be an alternative arrangement. During the inspection at Pithora Collection Center, he directed the officers to complete all necessary arrangements including cleanliness of the Collection Center within seven days. During this, Secretary Markfed Mr. Sandeep Gupta, Food Officer Mr. Nitish Trivedi, Deputy Registrar Co-operative Societies, Mr. S. Of.
