The Valmiki Jayanti competition ceremony was organized on behalf of Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Sansthan Lucknow in association with Dr. Sarita Srivastava at Government Jubilee Inter College in Lucknow district. In this competition the chief guest Dr. Sapna Verma, Principal Nari Shiksha Niketan Lucknow, special guest, two District School Inspector Lucknow Rakesh Pandey, Divisional Convener of Valmiki Jayanti competition, Lucknow Dr. Vandana Dwivedi, were present. At the district level, three competitions were organized by Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Sansthanam – Sanskrit Speech Competition, Sanskrit Shloka Antyakshari Competition, Sanskrit Song Competition. In which the first prize of Rs 1000, second prize of Rs 800 and third prize of Rs 700 was given to the winners by the Sansthanam. In the Sanskrit speaking competition, the students of Sanskrit department of Navyug Girls College also participated in which Mantshajahan got second position in third year graduation. It is definitely a very happy and proud moment for Navyug Girls College. On this success, the principal of the college, Professor Manjula Upadhyay, expressed his heartfelt happiness towards the Sanskrit department. 96 students participated in this competition. Ashutosh Dwivedi, second Mantashajahan, third Chandanayadav got the first place in the speech competition. In Shalokantakshari, Ayush got first, Abhishek second, third Harshita, Hariom got the position. In the song, Shikha Prajapati got the first place in Karamat Vidyalaya, Nancy, second in the state girl Anshikasolanki, third in St. Dominic’s College. 40 schools participated.
