Raipur. Chhattisgarh Mid -Day Food Cook Federation has written a letter to Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw demanding a 50 percent increase in honorarium of cooks under the ‘Guarantee’ announced during the assembly elections 2023. At the same time, the federation has also strongly objected to the trimming of cooks from self -help groups.

It was written in the letter that in all the 90 assembly constituencies of the state, the work of making food of students is taken from 87500 kitchens in all government schools located in the land of the plains (rural) and forest (rural) area. We all demand the cooking government to fulfill the promise of 50% increment made in the Assembly Election Declaration 2023 from the Kitchen government as soon as possible.

The government will not have to demand for financial assistance from the central government to provide we salary hike. If the government increases the minimum wage in the current labor commissioner rate. The minimum wage is a rule to increase the labor commissioner rate, which has not been implemented by the previous government, it has been almost 8 years. Every 5 years, the previous BJP government used to grow as per rules. On the basis of wages of this labor commissioner rate, the District Collector of all the districts declare the collector rate in their respective districts.

“Chhattisgarh government will have to do an immediate increase in minimum wages immediately to fulfill the demand for kitchens.” He has also demanded that the monthly salary be paid to the cooks every month by one scheduled date. In this regard, the School Education Department has been requested to issue necessary instructions.
