For district level flood disaster management training to deal with floods, table top exercise will be done on October 2 and mock exercise will be done at Ghunghutta Dam on October 4. Officers and employees of SDRF, Home Guard, Revenue, Health, Water Resources, Police etc. will be involved in this training. In-charge Collector Shri Vishwadeep gave necessary instructions by taking a meeting of the officers of the concerned department in the Zilla Panchayat meeting room on Monday for successful training. Collector in-charge said that it is necessary to give necessary information to the people for prevention of flood disaster. Also inform the villages around the training site about the disaster training. He asked the divisional fighter to make all necessary preparations regarding the training. Situational Preparedness Exercise- In the first situation, there will be a prophylactic evacuation exercise in which at least 100 people will be taken away from the place on receipt of triggers like stampede of flood prone village fair, earthquake information. The second exercise will be of search and rescue, in which efforts will be made to evacuate people in case of flood like situation. In the third site staging area, arrangements will be made to collect responders from outside for help in case of disaster, parking of vehicles, crowd of people, sanitation, hygiene, drinking water, way in and way out etc. In the fourth site, there will be an exercise to accommodate a few people in relief camps. In the fifth site, the people trapped in it will be evacuated with the idea of the disaster.
