Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure today held a meeting of the members of the local organizing committee in the collector’s hall and gave necessary instructions for ensuring complete arrangements in the state level youth festival and smooth operation, monitoring and proper coordination of various programmes. Keeping in view the number of participants and officials, he asked to make proper arrangements for accommodation, food and transport etc. People will be able to enjoy Chhattisgarh’s traditional folk songs, dance, games and Chhattisgarhi cuisine at the State Youth Festival. For this, CSID was instructed to set up adequate stalls.With the aim of providing special opportunities and platform to the youth of Chhattisgarh, connecting youth with cultural activities and enhancing their talent, State Level Youth Festival 2022- 23 is being organized by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare in Raipur from 12 to 14 January 2023. In which male and female young artists, participants and officials from different divisions of the state will participate. The program for participants and officials will be organized discipline-wise separately at Sports Directorate Complex, Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium, Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University Campus, Government Nagarjuna Science College, Raipur. About 2 thousand 700 participants in 38 disciplines will participate in this state-level youth festival. The basic values of Indian culture and culture of Chhattisgarh will be displayed in the youth festival. In the youth festival, all the competitions will be held in two categories of 15 to 40 years of age and above 40 years of age. Participants will be able to participate in the youth festival only on the basis of the prescribed number in each genre. Traditional songs, dances, games and Chhattisgarhi cuisine of Chhattisgarh have been included in this festival. Cultural genres in the youth festival include classical singing in Hindustani-Carnatic style, playing of sitar, flute, tabla, veena, mridangam, harmonium, guitar, classical dance – Manipuri, Odissi, Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi as well as traditional Sua dance, Colors of Panthi dance, Karma Nacha, Sarhul Nacha, Bastariya folk dance, Raut Nacha will be seen. Apart from this traditional games Fugdi, Bhaura, Gedi race, Rock band (state level) along with traditional costume competition to highlight Chhattisgarhi culture, Food festival competition based on Chhattisgarhi cuisine, Chhattisgarhi folk art and culture, historical heritage , Painting competition has been included on the theme related to traditional and tribal style.Like this:Like Loading…Continue Reading
