In the mineral resource-rich state of Chhattisgarh, the drivers related to mining industry are being given training regarding operation of mining vehicles. The training session was inaugurated by Transport Secretary Shri S. done by light. It is noteworthy that for the first time, training has been arranged for the operation of such vehicles by the Institute of Driving and Traffic Research. While addressing the inaugural session of the training, Mr. S. Prakash said that this training being given for the operation of vehicles used in the mining sector will increase employment opportunities for the youth of Chhattisgarh in the field of mining. He said that this training would enable the mining industries to run smoothly. At the same time, this training will also enhance the skills of the youth, which will also help in preventing accidents due to vehicles. On this occasion, by Shri S Prakash, Secretary, Transport Department, CG Government and Shri Sanjay Sharma, Assistant Inspector General of Police (Traffic) and IDTR instructors and officials also planted trees in the premises of IDTR. It is worth mentioning that an action plan has been prepared for the training of vehicles related to excavators in the Institute of Driving and Training Research being operated in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. Along with training, the management of vehicles has also been included in this action plan. Here, special arrangements have been made by Maruti Suzuki for training on vehicles related to excavators. In the Institute of Driving and Training Research, arrangements have been made for the people interested in operating all types of vehicles and for the drivers of government vehicles. Here interested persons can apply for learning license of two wheeler, light vehicle, heavy vehicle. Here all the formalities related to driving license are completed under one roof. In this institute, a refresher course has been arranged for the commercial drivers. In this course, they are given information about the rules of road safety and traffic signals as well as the Motor Vehicle Act and the fines for violation of this rule. During the training, the drivers are also being given information about the maintenance of vehicles etc. to save fuel.
