The Chhattisgarh Olympic Association organized a virtual competition of essay, slogan, painting and yoga on the occasion of World Olympic Day. In this event, Sports Minister Umesh Patel and School Education Minister Premsai Singh Tekam, besides the Indian Olympic Association’s Secretary General Rajeev Mehta, participated virtually to reward the winning players. At the same time, the award ceremony was organized in the presence of MLA Kuldeep Singh Juneja and Chhattisgarh Olympic Association general secretary Gurcharan Singh Hora in the union club.
Ministers appreciated Hora’s efforts
Sports Minister Umesh Patel and School Education Minister Premsai Singh Tekam said that such an event has been organized by the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association on World Olympic Day even in the Corona epidemic. Work is being done to promote the sports of Chhattisgarh. Earlier, the sports of Chhattisgarh was not promoted, but during the tenure of Bhupesh government, the sports of Chhattisgarh is getting a lot of promotion. Chhattisgarh Olympic Association is doing better work in this direction. For this, the efforts of CGOA General Secretary Gurcharan Singh Hora were highly appreciated by both the ministers.

During the award ceremony, CGOA General Secretary Gurcharan Singh Hora expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for organizing the event. Hora said that it is the inspiration of the Chief Minister, due to which a better event has been organized. Hora said that 3000 participants from 27 districts participated. He said that Chhattisgarh would be the first state in the country where such an event was organized.
