On the instructions of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, continuous action is being taken against the operators of fake chit fund companies, as well as the investors are getting the money invested directly in their account. So far, 16 chit fund companies’ properties worth Rs 16 crore 95 lakh 65 thousand 170 have been auctioned/recovered in the state. A total amount of Rs 11 crore 22 lakh 72 thousand 679 has been returned to 17 thousand 404 investors. It is noteworthy that Chhattisgarh is the only state in the country where the amount of those who have invested in fake chit fund companies is being returned. Taking this matter seriously by the administration, action is being taken against the operators of the chit fund company. On this matter, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has already directed the Home Department to expedite the process of refund and arrest of the operators. The Chief Minister himself is reviewing the progress of action in this matter from time to time. In Chhattisgarh, the process of returning the money to the investors by attaching the properties of chit fund companies is going on. At the district level, work is being done vigorously on the return of money trapped in chit fund companies. So far, 11 crore 22 lakh 72 thousand 679 rupees have been returned to 17 thousand 4 hundred and four investors trapped in chit fund companies. 16 lakh 4 thousand rupees in Durg, 16 thousand 8 hundred 93 investors in Rajnandgaon 10 crore 76 lakh 37 thousand 959 rupees, Bilaspur 4 hundred 74 investors 24 lakh 20 thousand rupees, Bemetara 5 investors 2 lakh 22 thousand 220 Rs. 1, 24 thousand 900 to 12 investors in Surajpur, Rs. 1 lakh 68 thousand 600 to 9 investors in Jashpur, Rs. 95 thousand to 7 investors in Janjgir-Chapa.
