Forest and Climate Change Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar today virtual launched C-Mart from his residence office in Raipur. Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar said that C-Mart has been established by the State Government with the objective of selling products manufactured by the groups and making women self-reliant. This is a big step of the government in the direction of women empowerment. Expressing happiness, she said that on the lines of big cities like Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg-Bhilai, now C-Mart has been established in Kawardha. The collection of minor forest produce is being done by the women of self-help groups by the Forest Department. Which is directly benefiting the women of the state and the city and we are moving forward in the direction of women empowerment. Minister Mohd. Akbar and Pandariya MLA Smt. Mamta Chandrakar congratulated and congratulated the operator of C-Mart, Dipanjali Mahila Self Help Group on the launch of C-Mart. Collector Shri Ramesh Kumar Sharma, Superintendent of Police Dr. Lal Umend Singh, Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat Sandeep Aggarwal and Municipal President Shri Rishi Kumar Sharma, Chairman, Councilors and Aldermen cut the tape and purchased the materials used in daily life. It is worth mentioning that a platform has been provided by the state government to sell the materials manufactured by the women’s group under one roof. Women groups of Kawardha district can bring their goods to C-Mart for sale. National Urban Livelihood Mission (Nagar Palika Parishad Kawardha) has provided a loan amount of Rs 10 lakh through Canara Bank Kawardha, now women will be self-sufficient and empowered. In C-Mart, items made by women and items of daily use will be sold by Dipanjali Mahila Self-Group. He told that other items including Badi, Bijouri, Sevai, Potato Chips, Mashala, Turmeric Mirchi, Gobar Gamla, Rice Flour, Dalia, Wheat Atta, Papad, Murku, Phenyl, prepared by women would be sold. Municipal Officer Mr. Naresh Kumar Verma, Executive Engineer Mr. ML Kurre, General Manager District Trade and Industry Center Kabirdham, members of Deepanjali Women Self-Help Group and a large number of people were present.
