In KCG these days under MNREGA adequate amount of employment is being provided to the people on the basis of demand in both development blocks Khairagarh and Chhuikhadan. Employment is being given to 38841 people in total 645 works in the district. Employment is being given to 19809 people in 266 works in development block Khairagarh and 19032 people in 379 works in development block Chhuikhadan. Along with this, instructions are being given to provide employment to the people in their villages only. Similarly, instructions have been given to pay wages to all laborers on time, along with continuous supervision/monitoring of the work is also being done. Giving this information, Assistant Project Officer of MNREGA Prakash Taram said that at present employment is being provided in the district in works like new pond/deepening, dam bandhan, dabri construction, well construction, Amrit Sarovar. Due to which the rural economy is also getting stronger. The elders along with the youth are very happy with the employment in the village itself and timely payment of wages.
