Purchase corn at support price from 01 December to 31 May

Kharif maize will be purchased from December 1 to May 31 through cooperative societies and lamps on support price from maize growing farmers in the district. Collector Mr. Nileshkumar Kshirsagar has asked the farmers producing maize to sell maize at the support price. He said that preparations have been made at the district level for procurement at the support price fixed by the government. He said that farmers should not sell their produce to low middlemen and middlemen. Nodal Officer of Cooperative Society R.P. Sharma said that 5 thousand 846 farmers have registered in the district. This purchase will be done through 22 procurement centers of the district. The support price for the average good quality FQ maize has been fixed by the government at Rs 1850 per quintal. Maize purchased is 10 quintals per acre. The moisture limit in maize will be up to 14 percent. He informed that the payment of purchase of maize will be directly transferred to the bank account of the farmers.
