All the street lights of the biggest railway over bridge of the district on the Bilaspur-Katni rail route near Gaurela and all the street lights of the newly constructed Smriti Vatika near the over bridge will be lit with solar energy. For this, on the special initiative of Collector Ms. Richa Prakash Choudhary, a solar power plant has been proposed from District Mineral Trust (DMF) at a cost of Rs.71 lakh. The solar power plant will be set up by the Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Authority (CREDA). This power plant is proposed to be set up by January 2023. The district in-charge of CREDA informed that instructions have been given to operate all the street lights of Railway Over Bridge and street lights of Smriti Vatika with solar energy. With the installation of Solar Power Plant, all the street lights of flyover bridge and street lights of Smriti Vatika built near the bridge will be powered by solar energy. This will reduce the share of coal based power to zero. With the installation of Solar Power Plant, the additional electricity duty load on Nagar Panchayat Gorela and Gram Panchayat Sarabahra will also become zero. The Electrical-Mechanical Wing of the Public Works Department will replace 100 street lights of 250 watt capacity with 90 watt solar based street lights in the railway over bridge. The illumination of solar lights will also help in traffic safety. Like this:Like Loading… Continue Reading
