Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, expressing strong displeasure over the working style of the revenue officers, has directed the collectors to make the work of revenue streamlined. CM Baghel, while reviewing the work of the Revenue Department in the Collectorate Conference today, said that the officers and employees of the Revenue Department should bring about a change in their style of work. People’s work should be done within the time limit. The collector and commissioner should regularly inspect the tehsil works. While reviewing the crop damage due to excessive rain and scanty rain, all the collectors were instructed to sensitively get relief amount under RBC 6(4) to the affected farmers within the time limit. He said that the pending cases of conversion should be resolved within the time limit. Dispose of all revenue cases within the time limit. Citizens should not suffer due to delay in revenue matters. Giving a stern warning to the officials for not completing the work of the citizens within the time limit, said that strict action will be taken if complaints of corruption are found. He also directed to pay special attention to the receipts of revenue income. Mr. Baghel asked the collectors to transfer the patwaris who had stayed at one place for three years. He also expressed deep displeasure over the delay in demarcation cases in urban areas and said that the revenue staff in these areas should be changed. He said that demarcation cases should be resolved within time-limit. Similarly, in new districts, citizens should get the benefit of speedy disposal of revenue cases. He said that Baiga, Gunia, priests have also been included in the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana being run by the Revenue Department. Along with the information about the scheme, the beneficiaries of this scheme should get the benefits of the scheme. He said that it is necessary to have good hotels for the tourists to stay overnight in the tourist places of the state. He also asked to develop the island from the point of view of tourism in Gangrel Dam. He said that the number of tourists coming from different places of the state and the country would increase by providing better housing facilities.
