Forest and Climate Change Minister and Kawardha MLA Mr. Mohammad Akbar, while addressing the three-day Sant Guru Ghasidas Baba Sant Samagam Mela organized at village Barbaspur in Kabirdham district, said that the ‘Mankhe-Mankhe Ek Samman’ of Sant Guru Baba Ghasidas in Chhattisgarh. The message is coming true. Shri Akbar reached the temple of Sant Guru Ghasidas Baba and offered prayers with devotion and wished for the prosperity of the state. Cabinet Minister Shri Akbar was given an unprecedented welcome by wearing a turban by the social brothers involved in the Sant Samagam Mela. Shri Akbar said in the Sant Samagam Mela that the importance and fame of the place where saints arrive automatically increases. I congratulate the society for organizing this event. Minister Shri Akbar made a flurry of gifts on the request of the Sant Samagam Organizing Committee. Shri Akbar announced Rs 5 lakh for social upliftment. Along with this, he announced to give 25 thousand rupees to the Panthi dancers, 25 thousand rupees to the folk singer Pandwani group, 25 thousand rupees to Karuna Mata Samiti, 25 thousand rupees to the cow dung purchase committee registered under the Godhan Nyay scheme in the village. He also announced a new food warehouse building in the village on the demand of the people of the society. Recalling the spirit of social cooperation of Satnam Samaj, Shri Akbar said that I have always been getting full support from this society. He also remembered the early phase of his public life from Virendra Nagar to Pandariya and Kawardha assembly constituencies. During the formation of the state through the Sant Samagam Manch, Shri Akbar recalled the decisions taken by the first government of Chhattisgarh to increase the fame of Giroudpuri Dham, the holy birth place of Sant Guru Ghasidas Baba. He said that today Giroudpuri Dham, the birth place of Sant Guru Ghasidas Baba, is making its mark as a sightseeing, public faith and tourist destination giving the message of social harmony, unity and integrity in the state. He told that he was also involved in the first state government as a cabinet minister. It was decided by the then Chief Minister Shri Ajit Jogi ji to build Jaitkham higher than Qutub Minar at the holy birth place of Sant Baba to further enhance the fame of Giroudpuri Dham. Today at that place, Gagan kisses Jaitkham, giving the message of social harmony of Sant Baba. He assured the society that he would always be ready for the upliftment of the society. On this occasion, President and Raj Mahant Shri Roopchand Mohale informed that Sant Samagam Mela of Sant Guru Ghasidas Baba Ji is being organized every year in village Barbaspur. A grand temple of Sant Baba has been constructed by the society and the villagers on the land of this holy village. In this Sant Samagam Mela, social gurus and saints arrive. The Kalash Jyoti was established on the temple before 14 years.
