In view of this, it is being manufactured and sold by women of self-help groups in the entire state. The demand for herbal gulal prepared by the women of Maa Sheetla self-help group of village Alor in Kondagaon district is increasing every year. In the year 2021, the group produced 3 quintals of herbal gulal, which earned them an income of Rs 31,000. In view of the demand of herbal gulal, 4 quintals of herbal gulal were produced in the year 2022, from which he got a profit of 40 thousand rupees. This year five quintals of herbal gulal have been produced by the women of the group. He has full hope that the group will earn more than Rs 50,000 from this. The group has so far earned an income of Rs 10,000 from the sale of herbal gulal. Maa Sheetla self-help group has also been honored at the state level for this success. Like last year, this year too, with the joint efforts of Krishi Vigyan Kendra and National Rural Livelihood Mission Bihan, the women of Maa Sheetla self-help group of village Alor were trained in making herbal gulal. The women of the group go to the forests throughout the year to make gulal, collecting natural dyes like palas, dhawai, vermilion, mehandi, leaves and beetroot, red vegetables, spinach, turmeric and rose water from the market, herbal preparations from a month before Holi.
