Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel reached Karji-Katkalo village of Lundra in Surguja (Ambikapur) district on the seventh day of meeting-meeting program today. He met and listened to the problems of the people in village Karji, sitting under a canopy traditionally made of bamboo and parachute among the mango trees. It is worth noting that this traditional thatch made of bamboo and para has been constructed by the people of Bansod community of neighboring village Parsodhi Khurd. During this, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel announced the construction of Higher Secondary School building in village Karji on the request of class 11th student Madhulika Prajapati. On the demand of the villagers, he opened Swami Atmanand English Medium School in Karji, ATM of SBI. Announced to start the process to start. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that community building would be constructed in village Taperkela, solar lift irrigation would be established in Kuberpur and Amadarha. Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria, Lundra MLA Dr. Pritam Ram, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Subrata Sahu and other public representatives and villagers were present during the meeting. During the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Baghel got to know about his well being with the villagers of Karji and also took information from the general public regarding the schemes of the state government. The Chief Minister himself took the applications by reaching out to the people and assured to take prompt action on all the applications. On this occasion, Mrs. Unita Singh of Karji told the Chief Minister that her child is disabled. He is sick and has a lot of pain in his feet. Mrs. Singh requested for the treatment of her handicapped child. The Chief Minister assured Mrs. Unita Singh and directed the officials to get her child treated immediately. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, who admired the patwari of the village, during the meeting, the Chief Minister also asked the people about the work of the patwari of the village. The villagers praised the Patwari Shri Gaya Ram Singh and told that he comes to the office at 7-8 in the morning and keeps all the revenue records correct. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel also admired Patwari Shri Gaya Ram Singh and praised the Patwari. He said that for the first time in Surguja, it was heard from the villagers that the Patwari does a very good job. Chief Minister Shri Baghel also inspected the office of Patwari after meeting in Karji. He took information from Patwari Shri Gaya Ram Singh regarding pending revenue cases including conversion, demarcation, payment, partition and caste, residence and income certificates. The Chief Minister, along with Additional Chief Secretary Shri Subrata Sahu, personally saw the status of settlement of the disputed revenue case on Bhuiyan website. During the meeting, the Chief Minister announced to name the newly constructed stadium in Katkalo after the martyr Sub-Inspector Shyam Kishore Sharma. The villagers told about the martyr to the Chief Minister who reached among the people. Knowing about the martyr, the Chief Minister made an immediate announcement of the naming of the stadium. Late Shri Shyam Kishore Sharma, Deputy Inspector, had given martyrdom in the Naxalite encounter of Madanwada. During the meeting at Karji-Katkalo, the Chief Minister announced an amount of five lakh rupees for the construction of Devgudi. He said that the Baiga of the village would also get an amount of Rs 7 thousand under the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana. Even if Baiga has land, he will be given the amount. The Chief Minister appealed to the eligible people to get maximum benefit by registering under this scheme.
