With the help of Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission and UNICEF, a special yoga program is being run for pregnant women in Kondagaon. The program was duly inaugurated on Monday in the chief hospitality of Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission Chairman Mr. Gyanesh Sharma and special hospitality of Mr. Devchand Bhatlay, President of Kondagaon Zilla Panchayat. On this occasion, the distinguished guests also released the yoga calendar and protocol booklet for special yoga exercises for pregnant women. Which is specially designed for three different trimesters during pregnancy under the guidance of experienced yoga experts and Dr. Asha Jain. Along with this, the precautions to be kept in the booklet have also been told. It is worth mentioning that with the aim of reducing maternal mortality and infant mortality by improving the health of pregnant women and their unborn children through yoga, the special yoga exercise project was started from 01 August 2022 in 45 Health and Medical Centers of District Kondagaon. Done in wellness centers. Under this, 05-day training of special yoga practice protocol was given to health officers, ANMs and yoga trainers. After this, special yoga practice training is being given to the pregnant women in the identified health and wellness centers of the district after their health check-up.Shri Gyanesh Sharma said that the special yoga practice project for pregnant women is being conducted only in Kondagaon district of Chhattisgarh in the whole of India. It is being done as a pilot project which will be a model for all the states. Explaining the scientific approach of the project, Mr. Shridhar Raiwanki, officer of the UNICEF Institute, said that according to research done abroad, yoga is the most effective way to stay healthy. Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission members Mr. Rajesh Nara and Mr. Ganesh Nath were special guests in the program. A large number of citizens including Yogi, Commission’s Secretary Mr. M.L.
