Girl students studying home science in the capital are doing research on Millet i.e. superfood. These girl students have also set up a food stall in the Millet Carnival going on at the local Subhash Stadium. Girl students of Government Dudhdhari Bajrang Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Raipur, who are doing research on millets, told that they are doing research on millets after being impressed by the incentives being given by the Government of Chhattisgarh to millets and the works of Millet Mission started for this. The food stalls set up by them have dishes like kodo, kutki made pasta, noodles, cake, roti and khurmi. Their sales are also increasing. Balushahi of millet, appe of kodo, chivda made of kodo-kutki and bhel are the main attractions kept here. Millet, known as superfood, is becoming popular day by day due to having more nutrients than other food grains. Visitors to the food stall are also taking information about these dishes with enthusiasm and curiosity. Research students told that nowadays fast foods are the trend, people like easy and quick things like Chowmein, Pasta and Manchurian, but it also has a bad effect on our health, so we have developed Kodo-Kutki Se Pasta, Dishes like Noodles, Roti, Cake, Khurmi have also been prepared so that the new generation can also understand the benefits of consuming millets.
