For this, in-depth discussions were held in a one-day seminar organized on the topic “Rock Art Conservation in Global Possibility” at Aranya Bhawan, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar last day. The seminar was organized by the Chhattisgarh State Biodiversity Board under the guidance of Minister for Forest and Climate Change Mr. Mohammad Akbar as per the intention of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. Meenakshi Dubey Pathak informed that the rock paintings/cave paintings located in the state of Chhattisgarh are of international standard and it is very necessary to work towards their conservation and promotion. It was told by him that there are a large number of ancient rock paintings and cave paintings in Kanker, Korba, Raigarh and Dharamjaygarh forest divisions of Chhattisgarh state, which can be more than 10 thousand years old. Natural materials have been used in carving the above rock paintings of Chhattisgarh. If these rock paintings and cave paintings are saved and preserved properly, then Chhattisgarh can be established as an important tourism and archaeological area at the national level and at the international level in the field of rock cave paintings. It is worth mentioning that Chhattisgarh Dr. Meenakshi Dubey Pathak has been invited by the State Biodiversity Board to study the rock paintings and cave paintings located in the state from the point of view of biodiversity from 21 to 30 December 2021. In the first phase, rock paintings have been studied by him in Kanker forest circle from 21 to 23 December and in the second phase from 24 to 30 December, by visiting Korba, Raigarh and Dharamjaygarh forest divisions of Bilaspur circle, rock located in the said forest divisions.
