MP Shri Rahul Gandhi ate traditional Chhattisgarhi food while sitting with Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel as well as beneficiaries of various schemes. Chhattisgarhi food in many ways tells the story of the rich food traditions of the state and on this pretext, we also get to know how Chhattisgarh preserved its food grains in the form of a bowl of rice and decorated it with various traditions. In Chhattisgarh, instead of puri, chausela was more prevalent, it was like puri but its ingredients were rice instead of wheat. Similarly it was fried in oil. There was a tradition of fragrant rice in the festivities. Many varieties of fragrant rice are the gift of Chhattisgarh and are preserved even now. The names of towns like Devbhog are known because of this fragrant species. Along with pickles in the plate, there is also a trend of bijori and libari. Libri is made from paddy and is very tasty. Similarly, if you look at Bijori, it is prepared from urad. Chhattisgarh had a tradition of their crops. Rokhacheka was done so that the cattle could not graze their crops. Unfortunately these traditions have disappeared. When Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s government came in Chhattisgarh, this vanishing tradition was again included in the mainstream, along with it was linked to the Rajiv Gandhi Nyay Yojana to promote their crops. The major reason for not having their crops was also that enough water was not able to remain in the borewell for the Rabi crop, the ground water was recharged through Narva scheme and through this this time there is good water in Rabi also and their Good opportunity for crops is available to the farmers. In this way, concrete work has been done by the government to revive the traditional plate of Chhattisgarh. In the plate of MP Shri Rahul Gandhi Ji, curry laddus made of jaggery were also kept, which is the most popular dish in Chhattisgarh. Sugarcane growers are also being supported through government schemes. In this way, the government has taken an initiative to save the sweet dish of the thali. Any state progresses only when it runs while maintaining cultural beliefs. Somewhere these cultural beliefs also provide a solid economic base. These cultural roots were rediscovered in Chhattisgarh and work was done to irrigate them. It gave better result. The tomato chutney of MP Shri Rahul Gandhi’s plate contains tomatoes from the same gardens, which are being re-sown traditionally as a concept for the kitchen garden. In this way, Shri Gandhi’s plate of Chhattisgarhi cuisine has proved itself to be an undertaking to show the traditions of Chhattisgarh and to save the agricultural economy.
