The cultural evening organized today in the wake of the ongoing three-day National Tribal Literature Festival in the capital Raipur became a memorable one for the people. The cultural evening started with the presentation of Karma dance of Surguja district. The splendid performances of Shaila dance of Sundargarh, Kaksad dance of Kondagaon district, Dashera Karma dance of Kabirdham district and Mandai dance of Sukma district enthralled the people present on the occasion. In all these dances, the performance of artists from the tribal community dressed in traditional musical instruments and traditional costumes captivated the people. A large number of people, including the Minister of Scheduled Castes and Tribes Development Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam, tribal litterateurs, subject experts, researchers, painters and artists of dancers from different states, enjoyed the cultural evening in this festival which started from 19th April. The main attraction of the cultural evening in the Auditorium of Science College has been the performance of the play “Krantiveer Gundadhur”. The author of the play Krantiveer Gundadhur, Shri M.A. Rahim and Shri G.S. The actors of Natania Film Production House Jagdalpur under the direction of Manmohan gave a lively performance with their powerful performances. The audience was stunned by the powerful performance of Shri Prashant Das in the role of Krantiveer Gundadhur. The song and dance performed intermittently during the staging kept the audience hooked. Smt. Swati Gupta and Smt. Ritu Gupta, residents of Malviya Road in the capital Raipur, had come to see this cultural evening. She told that she is originally from Uttar Pradesh and through this event got an opportunity to know the tribal culture and tradition closely. He praised the Chhattisgarh government and the Scheduled Castes and Tribes Development Department for this event. He said that this occasion is unforgettable for him and his family. Mrs. Ritu Gupta told that she was residing in Mumbai for 45 years. Tribal literature has been introduced in this event. He said that his love for literature has always been there.
